More pros than cons
This app has been quite helpful on both iPhone and MBP.
The pros:
- It’s robust and straight forward.
- Syncs very quickly.
- Offers touch ID for easy iPhone sign in.
- Appealing selection of visual themes.
- Plenty of room to make notes in each card file
- Offers a self-destruct mode after x login attempts.
- Offers encryption option.
- I’ve never had a security issue in 5 years of subscription
The cons in my experience of over 5 years:
- Syncs frequently create duplicate files, there is no way to select duplicates (triples or more) which requires manual deletion one at a time. Super annoying on both iPhone and MBP.
- Syncing options are quite convoluded and inordinately redundant in the Mac version. Simplifed options of server backup and device sync would be much more useful to me.
- It’s a little pricey for two devices
- A scheduled sync option would be fantastic so all files are always up to date on server and all devices.
- No option to enlarge text size.
Overall, I do recommend the Keeper as a friendly, universal way to keep track of passwords, it makes it much easier to use more robust alphanumeric passwords.
