Essentially extorting users to upgrade
I’ve used Keeper for well over a year. Downloaded the FREE version and didn’t have a single issue (I have 60+ passwords, etc. entered). Then, recently, I clicked on the free trial to see if the backing up to the cloud was worth it. After my 30 days, I didn’t want to pay for the cloud service and wanted to revert to the free version again like the app says will happen. They won’t let you revert to the free version, you have to pay for the single user ($29.99/year).
They’ve also given me two days “extension" to access my info. For what I don’t know since you cannot change subscriptions within the app, only pay for the single user. Once your trial is up, you’ll be stuck between paying them or finding another application. I don’t think they have a way to revert users back to the free version because through my emailing them they’re saying that I can use the free version on a mobile device instead of my iMac, where my current information is. Makes no sense.
I was very surprised to see so many people with the EXACT same issue with the people at Keeper. If they can make these current changes without notifying their customers, what will they do in the future. Thank God I have a recent printed backup that I can revert to, no yearly fee for that.
