Keeper Password Manager App Reviews

I am a user of Keeper on the iPhone since 2012 and was an early adopter (even had it on my Blackberry in 2010 when it was Callpod Keeper). In 2012 I purchased the “unlimited” subscription…but apparently they don’t want to honor the unlimited subscription anymore. They now are trying to change the terms of the subscription agreement they made with me in 2012. Frankly, it is dishonest, bad business and greedy. I am switching to something else out of principle. They won’t see another cent from me. It is a good product, but with dishonest business practices.

I like the program very much, but it says it is free, but only for 30 days. Then they start nagging you that your time is up. I am not ready to make a decision yet. I am trying one other program. I dont like putting my stuff on iCloud - I want to manage my passwords manually. Tried to contact them with questions. Got no answers yet.

I really like this app, it’s a great way to keep all of my passwords and data safe and secure in one place. HOWEVER, I get constant emails and reminders that I have not chosen to pay for their subscription to cloud storage of my personal data. I would be more than happy to pay for the app itself, but I’m not interested in storing all of my passwords and personal data on some company owned cloud. I back up my own data and keep it safe - I have no interest in paying some company I don’t really know to do it for me. This app would have easily received 5 stars except for the constant reminders that I haven’t sent them all of my personal passwords to “keep safe” for me.

I bought this product as a one time purchase. Then they switched their model to an annual fee and are telling me that I need to re-new my subscription. That is one of the WORST bait and switch tactics. Do not support this type of duplicity and do not waste your money on a service that requires an annual fee when so many others are either a one time purchase or FREE! Shame on you Keepr, you should be embarrassed by your business practices.

I bought the desktop version for the Mac and the iPhone version. Ever since the last update to the iphone, they now want a $34.99 yearly subscription to be able to sync between the two. Ive had the desktop and iPhone versions for quite awhile with no problems. Now I’m REQUIRED to purchase cloud storage to sink between devices. I want to switch to a different valt keeper, but I’ve got 174 files. :-( With the exception of REQUIRING to purchase cloud storage, it works great. Still...

I first downloaded Keeper on my iPhone 3 in 2009. Miraculously, i managed to transfer it to my iphone 4 and then my iphone 6 and back it up on a new macbook along the way, all without ever performing a single app update. Totally my bad move to not update it all these years. When I finally did update it 6 years later, my version was so old, that with the updated interface I no longer had access to my records, nor was it easy to track them down. Co-founder Craig Lurey personally called me and worked through restoring my records, which turned out to be no easy feat, but in the end, was accomplished. I was expecting to get dumped off the train and forgotten as just one lousy customer up in Canada who had created her own problem. Not so!!! Craig persisted and kept checking in on me until the problem was solved. Thank you SO much for the excellent service!!!

Love, love, LOVE this app! I first used it on my phone and then I realized they offered an option for multiple devices…. I was IN! Now I can access all my passwords from anywhere in the world and all I have to remember is ONE password! I tell everyone I know abou this app…. LOVE IT!!!!

was working great till this last update now can not get it to load to bad cause i realy like it hope they can fix me will updated

Works great on my Macbook and iPhone. Updates each other and the iPhone app allows fingerprint access.

Core functionality works, but sharing amongs users is quirky, working only sometimes. Also finding it’s expensive compared to other similar products, espesially if you want to use amongst multiple devices or family members. Finally, annoying notes and messages from developer, for example, “Recomend keeper to friends” options are “Yes” or “No Friends”… really? I’m dropping it ad moving to 1Password.

For quite a while there was an issue with the app loading VERY slowly, but since that’s been fixed I have no complaint whatsoever! Very satisfied with the product and feel I’m getting my money’s worth - I also wanted to mention that when I contacted the developers about the slowness issue, they were super responsive and helpful, and helped me find a short term solution until it was fixed. (I appreciate this greatly, this has not always been my experience with with other app issues.)

This application has been a lifesaver countless times to me over the last few years. I have experimented with other password apps, but always return to Keeper. It is extremely easy to use and an absolute must for those of us that dont have a photographic memory,,,Try it! Youll Like it!

Over the past several years, I used One Password, Dashlane, LastPass, DataVault, and Keeper. As data intruders become more sophisticated, the importance of data security increases. With regard to data security, Keeper performs better than those I have used. Equally important (some might argue that in a distance environment this part of the solution is more important) is the availability of an effective and efficient client service solution. In my experience, Keeper leaves much to be desired in providing effective and efficient client service. Keeper’s sync feature does not work. I emailed ‘customer/client service’ on several occasions over a span of about 9 months to achieve a resolution and responded in painstaking detail to all their requests for additional information. I also tried the Live Chat function and waited for several hours after the initial “We will be right with you” message appeared. After this time and effort (Sync functionality is very important to me), I created my own ‘workaround’ which is labor-intensive. Since the sync feature does not work YET I am comfortable with the security function of the software, I resort to backing up my data via the desktop app to the cloud; afterwards, I perform a restore of the web extension from the backed-up data in the cloud; the result is a synchronization of data. Labor intensive sums up Keeper. This is the tradeoff with Keeper; you will get good security, but to get there, it takes 2 or 3 more clicks (in comparison to its competitors) on everything.

I have been using this app for years now and I still love it. Of course I have tried others in order to compare but this one is the easiest to use and the stablest one that I have tried. I feel safe with Keeper.

I have used this package for 5 years or more. It has been a life safer many times over. I love the feature that allowes me to have one for my work passwords and then another one for my personal passwords and to have both of them available and sync’d across my many devices. It is wonderful. Thanks!!

I use it on Apple (multiple devices) and HP devices and it works like a charm. No problem syncing between platforms.

I really think this is a great $10 a year! Super great really. I’ve used this for two years and have over a hundred passwords and I need to keep everything or I can’t get into anything. I haven’t had an issue yet. Thanks!

I use my Keeper all day long. I can check my accounts or shop straight from the app. I’d be lost without it! Good price and great value too.

I adore, love, admire, depend on….. this app. It is fabulous! It synces perfectly with all my devices.
